Then, of course, there are the fixed weapons, which could be grouped together to form a kind of spinal-mount cannon (obviously the bulk of the cannon would be decoration).Īlternatively, if you wanted a more Battlestar Galactica feel, you could always group basically all the turrets into dorsal batteries (spreading out the fixed weapons on the front if you wanted some Pegasus-like action). I have a history of bashing Dustin for the poor quality of their content, I dont need your encouragement. I've not really tested the effectiveness of laser turrets, but plasma turrets would be useful for CV-CV/BA combat, as would artillery, of course those would also make sense to be arranged in batteries (perhaps at least 2 so that you could rotate into a functioning battery in the case that you're taking heavy damage). Cannon and minigun turrets, being small caliber, would take on the role of point-defense, while flak turrets and/or homing missile turrets could be arranged in batteries to repel enemy SVs (or maybe just spread out equally around the ship presumably, this ship isn't going to have much going for it in the maneuverability department). ![]() Sentry turrets, for example, would make sense to be placed covering entrances and/or critical interior locations (boarding in space isn't a thing yet, but interior turrets could be useful against Zirax base attacks if they're ever allowed to target CVs). That said, even then every weapon type has a role to fill. Currently, there's no reason not to go for max damage (hopefully that will change in the near future). ![]()
